375 RUGER Revisited....

With the problems I've had with Hornady brass in the last 5 years, I wish some one else would make 375 Ruger brass. I've also had 2 lemons with new Ruger rifles so it's good to see Howja making rifles in this caliber.

Apparently i will NOT ever own a Howa 1500 as they do NOT come chambered in the Real KING :d - the 375 H&H - shame on them ! :( RJ

Apparently they don't feel the need to stretch the receivers they make into MAGNUM length just to accomodate the old king. Standard length receivers work just fine for the NEW KING. Anyhow, I am tired of the whining about NEW/OLD kings. As far as I know , there is more than one king on the earth. Different sovereigns but same purpose..........laying the smack down!!!

Yes SIR ! Sgt . Rock ! never will i speak of it again Sir - LOL RJ

Don't call me "sir" as I work for a living.............!!!! That's what I got screamed into my face the first time I said that to one of my instructors at boot camp. Mcpl Sandford PPCLI (may I never forget that terrifying man)

I've only used the Hornady brass, and I have not experienced ANY problems other than a single crumpled case that was my fault when reloading.

The thing I found strange was the fact that I use Hornady brass in quite a few other chamberings and never a problem.
404 Jeffery brass from Hornady is as good or better than Bertram or A-Square brass and I can't seem to wear it out.
I re-form Hornady 270 Win. brass to make my 256 Newton cases and never a loss and I cannot say the same for Rem. or Win. brass.
And again I must say that the people I dealt with @ Hornady were first class.

A good friend suggested that I pick up a box of new factory Hornady loads to try as a comparison.
Now, he knew that I do not use factory loads in anything unless there is no alternative, but long story short, we checked with every ammunition retailer between the Port Mann and Hope but to no avail.
Some even went so far as to say they had not seen a box for a couple years or more, those same people have a dozen boxes of 30-40 Krag ( some new boxes ) but no 375 Ruger.
So I'm left wondering what those 375 Ruger owners do that do not handload..... I for one am very thankful that I do, otherwise my rifle would not get used.
Now c'mon I know there is an ammo shortage but I see a lot of boxes for the WSMs and all others, but no Ruger loads.
I realize that some of the other retailers in maybe Kamloops, or PG, Fort St. John might have stock but the does not help we Lower Mainlanders.
I do hope that for the non-reloaders that hunt that this will change or at least improve if the cartridge is to become more popular among sportsmen....

375 Ruger ammo listed at LeBaron - 300 grain DGX - a bit steep though at $74 a box.
LeBaron has been pretty quick shipping ammo to me.
Arrived 3 days after order.
