I totally agree with Johnn and I applaud your effort in this project, had your work surfaced earlier concerning the use of 300 Win. Mag. brass in the Ruger I might still be persevering with my Rugers instead of giving them away in frustration.
However I still have a few Mausers and a couple pre-64s which either of could become 375 Rs.
I was gonna make one into a 30 Newton which is probably what the 375 Ruger was copied from to start with.
Keep up the good work Douglas and by all means keep us posted.... Thanks my Friend !

Why bother Kevan - the REAL KING 375 H&H is a better cartridge then the imposter 375r anyhow ! ;) RJ

Well,:D I've recently acquired one

Thats a Real Beauty there Johnn - you had better come up here this spring and bag a Big Blackie with it ! :D RJ

:)Thank you. That's definately very tempting however:redface:, there are a pair of 358NM's

and a '.366 Wagner'

ahead of it in the 'seniority' line up that have yet to draw blood.
;)Another Mewsie for BUM & Looky:p.

LOL I will NEVER own a 375r ! if i wanted a more powerfull 375 i would go to a 375 RUM or 375 Weatherby or the Emperor 378 Weatherby ! :D RJ

One can have some of them too..........I've got the 375 Wby, but yet to venture into the RUM-378 neighborhood, with a Rigby and 458 Ruger and 470 NE, I just don't see a need for that much power behind a 3/8" bore bullet. If I really need to reach out and totally annihilate something, I've got my .50 BMG !!! LOL

Beautiful rifles Johnn P., our 375 Hollands share the same optics by the looks of it.. 1.5 X 5 Leupold ?

Thanks guy and you're quite right on the scope. That's what I have on another Super Express I have in 458WM so in trying to keep 'things' as similar as possible between the two, I went with the same on the 375 H&H.

The mounts used on the 458WM are a set of Weaver Pivot Mounts. I have another set for the 375 H&H but;) I'll 'play' with the existing on it for a while.

My scope is BETTER then Yours My 375 H&H wears a 2 x7 Leupold ! I can shoot way longer distances then you and Johnn can ! ;) :D LOL RJ

Well if you're going to be like that I have a 3-9 Zeiss on one of mine, and it ain't no f**king Conquest either it's a Diavari:p:p:p A man can't hit what he can't see.............

The Ruger African I just picked up came with a nice little 1-4 Leup on it, but I'll probably up that considerably for testing loads, something in the 12-18X range, as I can't stand being handicapped on the bench testing loads with a low power scope. There was a day when it didn't make that much difference but alas, no longer !!
