Thanks for the inquire. We currently do not have a Canadian dealer that is one of our priorities this spring. Do you have any that you would prefer and in what part of Canada.

The New King of the 375's has been making lots of inroads into Africa. More than some people are willing to admit!
H&H ammo is still more widespread due to its 100 year head start, but in 10 more years 375 Ruger ammo will be all over African countries that have sport hunting. African hunters are becoming quite fond of the cartridge and the handy, affordable rifles that they come in!
Good to know, Clarke, I thought the .375 Ruger was still almost exclusively a North American cartridge. I'm all for good ammo being available anywhere...my getting older and more forgetful MAY be part of the reason!

I didn't know this until recently, but apparently Hornady has been going to great lengths to get NewKing ammo and brass in as many shops in Africa as possible. It's a great idea , really

Don't believe everything you read on CGN.............When I'm there next I will be doing a poll of the PHs and we'll see how well known it actually is over there. I am also going to make a point of checking out some gun shops and see if they have ever even heard of it.
Since I'm sure some are interested , I've asked my African friends about stores that stock 375. Ruger products. Here is what they said:
City Guns in Cape Town, Wildman Cape, Safari & Outdoor Stellenbosch and I am sure plenty others too

Absolutely true. I was just reading about the last shipment...apparently it's being bundled into a CARE package along with a large quantity of stale-dated cheese and a huge number of condoms.
Of the three, only the cheese is expected to be used as intended.
How are we supposed to believe you then, especially with your anti-Ruger/pro-H&H leaning posts

Maybe...just maybe...c-fbmi's an H&H fan BECAUSE he has been to Africa and used it there. Seems like a more reliable source of info on the topic of African use of the cartridge than a guy in BC (what was that phrase? "A dishwasher from Penticton"? )
A couple of years ago I arrived in Africa without ammo...a mix-up resulting from my own foolishness, no denying that. When I inquired with the outfitter what I could do, he asked what caliber I needed. I replied ".375"...frankly, it didn't occur to me that I needed the "H&H" qualifier.
He paused, then suspiciously continued ".375....H&H?" I answered "Of course!"
He was suddenly all smiles. "Thank God! No problem!" And, naturally, it wasn't.
This is starting to sound like a debate between Creationists and Evolutionists. Evolutionists claim that they are correct, and produce evidence to prove it. Creationists merely claim that Evolutionists are wrong...which makes THEM correct...just because!

Well imagine that .....the NewKing is making headway into Africa. A little while back I kept hearing here that dealers there would probably never have any ammo for it.
Well, obviously, a hunting magazine is an unbiased source of that kind of info, isn't it? After all, just look at how often they review a new gun and call it a dog. After buying a few of those new wonderguns that they invariably rave about, only to find them lacking, I just assumed that I got one of the odd lemons...because the magazine said they were great!
And frankly, if I need to replace ammo in Africa, or anywhere else, I don't want to waste precious time dicking around looking for a major city with a local gun shop. Knowing that there's a box of what I need waiting for me in a tent in the middle of nowhere, which is precisely where I want to be, is heartwarming.

Apparently you only read or see what you want to, I have repeatedly stated that I don't hate Rugers nor the 375 Ruger. I have also stated that I liked the design of the cartridge many times on this forum and that I really liked the African rifle from Ruger and even posted an ad to attempt to buy one. So I would have to say you just like to.............
