375 Ruger

I am looking to make a 375 Ruger,I have a Parker + Hale 270 with clip feed or a 30-06 Husky.I know I will have to open the bolt face up.
Anyone out there have any idea's.

Sell the two guns you have and buy the one in the EE. Probably not a gunsmiths out there with reamers and if you want the chamber, you buy the reamer.

I'm sur eby now SOMEONE in Canada has one, but I dont' know who. If you want one, Dave Manson, Pac-Nor and others are making them. You can order one by calling them.

They've always made solid pilot reamers for me in any chamber when I asked.

I'll bet that for about $120CDN you can have a solid pilot 375 Ruger reamer in your hands in about 2 weeks.....maybe I should take my own advice....

If you have described the rifles correctly one is a small ring and the other a large ring. If it were me doing it I wouldn't use the small ring for that cartridge.
On the other hand if your Husky happens to be an FN copy of the large ring 98 I sure would prefer that one to the Parker hale.

Why would anyone want an upstart when there is the origional H&H!

What I like about the Ruger is that it is on a standard length action.

Doesn't matter at all if the ballistics are better or the same to me.

I had a Sako Hunter V in 375 H&H sold it and now have a 375 RUM.

If the Ruger had come out before the RUM I would have most likely bought it instead due to the shorter bolt throw and being more versatile with shorter barrel and action lengths.

Maybe I'll sell the 375 RUM and get a Ruger...

haha Thats funny I just had a guy the other day at the store I work at buy a 375 ruger to turn in to a 458 win mag which did not make to much sense to me but to each it's own???

since when did need ever substantiate the construction of a custom firearm. I doubt it is that often. And to that i say, its a free country, do what you wish with your toys
