Now you've done it. The hordes of "noise definition Nazi's" will be around shortly to educate you. I made that same "mistake" the other day.

leftie are happy with plywood what is wrong with yours, littleboylefty?
Just never really cared for laminates. Nothing wrong with the stock really. It's OK and Ruger did a great job on the Hawkeye ergos, IMO. For my uses, I prefer a good quality synthetic and the McM MKII Classic is a great pattern.
I'm with you on that. I actually think most laminates look pretty good and they are certainly functional, but they always felt a little clubby to me compared to a good quality synthetic. I would probably take a laminate over a tupperware stock though.
ok you got me guys a plastic stock and scope in 50mm and im in ...
I actually really like the M77 Hawkeye stock's ergonomics. A lot. I really think Ruger nailed it, especially compared to the MII stocks. They are slim, great handling stocks, for me. But yeah, lots of laminates out there are pretty clubby and klunky. Agreed though, no comparison between the Ruger laminates and a normal factory tupperware!
When I had my LH 375 Ruger imported (with Phil and another fine fellow from BC on 24HCF, but Phil doesn't know it), I fully intended to order a McM for it, but just liked how this one worked and never got around to. The McMs are great, I own a few, but the way our dollar is these days I'll just wait patiently for the 375 to get her upgrade...
LOL. You're so dramatic. Make mine fibreglass stock and open sights or my VXIII 1.5-5...![]()

Hey, for a newbie here...why swap out the stock stock? What are the practical advantages of laying down an extra $500 +/- ???
