Looks like good penetration with it. Looks like it can be reloaded and reused. One thing about the .375, it starts in diameter where must bullets end up after mushrooming.

Yup. You can over do the "hard" in hard cast. A cast bullet for hunting relatively soft animals like deer should be as soft as you can get away with without leaving lead in your barrel.

Agree totally. My alloy for hunting loads in 375 and 38-55 is wheel weights and pure lead, 50/50. Can’t say the bullet failed but I believe a lead bullet should expand. I have had them expand into the classic mushroom shape.

I have only ever used the Winchester 200 gr Power Point factory load, or 220gr Hdy FP in handloads and they have performed very well on black bear, moose and caribou from my Marlin.
Now have factory ammo loaded by HSM with the Sierra 200 gr FP that I will try in my new to me 94 Big Bore.
Have not tried cast in the 375 Win; but as mentioned above it sounds like the cast is a little hard for your use. May work better for feral pigs and larger game.

yep nice hard cast not driven fast enough and a young deer .

forget exactly but around 1700? fps from memory 28gr of 2207- its basically in the warm 38-55 area?

this is their hardest projie, an coated in their fastest stuff, its rated for up to 2200 fps or so, an then a regular coating of some sort, an a clear for the softer ones.

hawksbury river down under made em, 'copper hawks' 'black hawks' and 'target hawks' maybe?

the bro using the model 94 has got me keen as to tote it around again ha ha! always the way eh!

i was carrying the Ruger 303, it was coool.
