.375 Winchester ammo and recipes

You're best served with with .375 Win brass fer sure as it be the proper stuff for the higher pressures the round generates compared to the 30-30 & 38-55.
I used Bullet Barn 265 gr RNFP bullets in my BB 94 & pushed them at 1500 fps using 20.0 gr SR 4759 held in place with a pinch of dacron fiber fill that be
gently tamped. Good accuracy & very good penetration on deer & black bear for shoulder shots inside 100 yds. I had nice results with 23.0 IMR 4198 under
dacron to get the same velocity range.

X reload has brass, you can also form 3030 into .375 a stout load of pistol powder 8 or 9 grains, toilet paper wad followed by cream of wheat cereal and another wad of paper. Anneal the brass first, a good alternative to .375 brass which can be very expensive and scarce.

hey just a FYI with yer big .375BB.......... ya dont need to run em HOT............. load like a warm 38-55 an you will likely Save brass life, find more accurate load and be more fun to shoot and deadly as ever the 38-55 was since 1876?! :D

big fan on mine... its a perfect middle one i rekon from a big 45, to a smaller 3030

FYI- im using 20gr of AR2207 (h4198) i think, with 245gr cast..
was loading 28gr all the above for much more wallop and still able to go into 31-32 gr for hot hot loads but my rifle an sights dont work for that hot factory speeds..

Hey guys, I’ve got lots of brass now. I’m gonna load 200 sierras with 36gr of reloader #7 and see how it does. Then I’ll be loading 265 cast but don’t know the gr’s for these yet. Any suggestions?

Check out the Lyman reloading for cast bullets, lots of info there. Powders for cast bullets, AA2015 and IMR4198 as well reloader7 have worked very well for me with the 265gr gc type.
