.375 Woodleigh bullets

Boomer runs them in his 375Ultra and seems very pleased with them...Shoot him a PM if he doesn't stick his head in here.

I think he took them to Africa.

I shoot 380 gr Rhinos, but as yet they aren't available here. I got some 350 gr Woodleighs to try from Bruno Gross at Bullseye Reloading Supply (780-835-4648). My preference is still the 380 Rhino, and it would be an excellent choice for the .378 as well. The 350 gr Woodleigh is a good bullet, but you may find that the .378 overdrives it if you load to maximum velocity, as it was designed to fully expand at .375 H&H velocities (1900-2500).

Hawk Bullets offers heavy 375cal bullets with optional bullet jacket thicknesses. There's a pretty good selection and the site mentions shipping to Canada as an option.

Thanks Guys,

I have shot the 350's in the .378 I just bought, But the rifle never came with enough to do any good load testing. I am aware of the velocity factor and the loading I did for this rifle before I bought it , I kept the 350's around 2650, a bit over but they worked well!!

I will give the numbers a call and see if they have what I need in stock!!!

woodleigh's

Just look up Woodleigh's website. They show stocking dealers in Canada as Rocky Mtn Rifles(Dawson Creek), and Bashaw Sports(Bashaw).
I've been using Hawks, I order them direct. They've been great to deal with and shipping has been prompt, and cheap.
Never tried the woodleigh's; it was down to the woodleighs, or the hawks. I went with the hawks. A 400gr .035 jacket RN from 50yds @ about 1800fps went throught 6 waterjugs into a tight box of newspaper, retained 97% of it's weight, and obtained 218% expansion. I'm impressed.
Sure the woodleighs are good too.

How do you get ahold of these rhinos? I would like to try them in 375, 416, 458 caliber. The woodleighs are good but you have to watch the speed in the big weatherby cases. For the price it may be better to get bullets you can drive to full potential like tsx's or the GS customs. I have woodies for my Rigby and Jeffery and will find other bullets for the 378 and 460.
