.375 xbolt

If CRF is so great for a 375, why don't people tote the same line for a 22/250 or a 270?

Price... It's cheaper for manufacturers to make push feeds, hence the Pre-64 CRF M70's becoming push feed Post-64 to economize. The CRF is a better system, as it does everything a push feed will, and things it won't when it really really counts too. I think the more important question is what would you lose by going with a CRF over a push feed? Not a thing. :) I checked my Remington; if you go forward on a round with the bolt, stop and back up to the rear and try again, it jams. My CRF's don't mind it one bit, even upside down, and when it really matters, you're not likely to be thinking, or working your bolt the straightest, and that's why there's such an amazingly strong affiliation to CRF in bolt actions in professional hunters in Africa.

All that said, for the record, you have a particularly nice Remington! For North America, it's just great, but Africa you really should take every advantage you can get and CRF's a serious one.
