Well, since we're on the topic of 375 H&H, this might as well be where I ask>

How's the recoil? I was checking out a CZ550 at Wholesale (Edmonton), the Safari grade. That is a substantial piece of iron and wood. I love it. The salesman also showed me a Browning in 375, I didn't like it. It felt a lot lighter and too shiny, just not what I envision as a safari gun. Anyways, I have a trip in my future, I was thinking that if I got a 375, perhaps I could use it as my elk gun in place of the 338. But, I've never shot one....how are they?

Depending on what rifle your .338 is on, you may find the .375 kicks less. The CZ will probably finish up at 10.5 pounds scoped, and everyone who shoots mine usually comes up with a "That's it?" comment followed closely by a "I gotta get one of these!"

I owned a Winchester Super grade at one time, and I can tell you that it was a very nice rifle to shoot, and accurate as well.

A few friends up here have them, and everyone that has shot them likes them.
There is something about the .375 that says "gitrdun"!

The first time I shot a 375 was in a friends sako,one shot and I had to have one and I purchased the cz-550.It kicks a bit less than the sako and has been a great rifle for me.Very nice trigger as well.
