I used Scherell's Schaftol Extra Dark. Its part of the same company as Balistol. This is an oil not to be confused with a stain. Only thing left to do is I need to reblue the crossbolt. The tape cover I made for it kept falling off and eventually I got scratches in it from the finish stripping process so I said "screw it! I'll just reblue it when I'm done!"

I have used Schafatol on a number of stocks. All natural and you can use your hands to apply.
