375hh or 300 win action for a 458 win mag project

Hello,

was wondering if a 375hh action will be better than a 300 win mag for barreling it.

i do not want a 458 lott but the longer magazine maybe appealing as well as nicer wood.

we re talking about zastava action.

The 458 WM has a smaller mag opening then the 375h&h from factory. But the 300wm is the same receiver as the 458wm

I used a 458 wm receiver to rechamber to 460 weatherby a 375 would have been better to start with.

The 458 is short if your not going to the lott. The OAL is the same as a 300WM and it used the same case as 300wm too.

If you find a 375. Its already a 375. Id leave it. Personally id use the 300wm receiver. Or just buy one in 458. Tradeex ad a few.

I'd use a .300 WM action because I don't like having that front feed ramp cut away for the longer cartridge.

Right. And the left handed 375 are probably still in stock at tradeex so it makes it real easy for you.

That may be the simplest. Tradeex may even still have the 458wm barrels in stock for that receiver. I used one in my 460 build
