Can't find any Win 38-55, any ideas?

$30 a box? My lgs has it for $60!! My grandfather gave my brother a beautiful old(1916) win94(?) but he doesn't use it cuz of ammo price.

Sell/trade it for a 30/30 with ammo going for about 16 bucks per twenty.

Have you tried reloading? Brass is easily available, as are lead bullets

Aye. This^^

30-30 brass can be blown out straight, and used too. Comes out a tenth of an inch short, but works just fine.
You can buy enough reloading equipment and supplies for the price of a couple boxes of factory ammo, to make yourself wonder why you didn't do so sooner!

Where is the best place to get 38-55 brass and projectiles? @trebo2880:not a chance even if it was mine I would never think of selling

Whole Sale Sports for brass and I buy my cast bullets from either the Bullet Barn in BC or Cactus Plains Ammunition in Saskatchewan.
