can anyone tell me what size and weight of round ball loaded in those reloadable cartridge that uses the 22 blank cartridge.
what kind of penatration in a pine 2x4 and what velosity ???

If you are talking about the hammond game getter, it probably uses swaged .375 muzzleloading round balls. Check the gamegetter website. It will be enough penetration to kill small game.

A 0.375" ball is the most commonly available and should work.
For best results, slug your bore or chambers. Gun measurements weren't all that standardized back then.
Highwoodcasting has 150gr 0.375 heeled bullets for 38rf and 0.380" round balls if 0.375 is too small.

I can’t comment on penetration but i used 38rf bullets from high wood casting, the green 27 cal ramsets seamed way too hot. You will be safe with brown 22 cal ramsets.

You will need 36 cal lead balls, they should press in relatively easily but i can’t say for sure since i haven’t done that before.

I have a couple of game getters. They work pretty good and are decently accurate. However, I find it is way easier to just load a case with a round ball. Far less fiddly, very accurate and quicker reloads.

These are 308 cases loaded with hornady .310 pure lead round balls. Will put three in same hole at 25 yards. I load them at 900 fps so very quiet but still kill good. Great thing about round ball is they shedd velocity really fast so do not carry like even a 22 RF does.

I have the same for 45-70, 375 Ruger and 338-378. They make great small game loads for when you are hunting. Hornady Buckshot and Hornady muzzle loader round balls are both pure lead. Just a matter of finding a ball about 2 or 3 thou larger than the cartridge calibre.
