There is a group buy for a 150 gr 38 S&W mold here: http://castboolits.gunloads.com/showthread.php?238031-363-150Gr-RN-(38-S-amp-W) This is a nice traditional RN bullet. I have been pestering the Cast Boolit forum for some time now to do a GB on this bullet and NOE has finally agreed to run a GB.

This group buy will go quite fast compared to others. NOE already has tooling and will make a run of molds as soon as 15 people sign up.

I maybe interested, what are all the options:
Lyman/RCBS style Top Punch $5.00
Saeco style Top Punch $7.50
Mould Wrenches / Sprue Lube $2.50

what is the top punch and difference between the lyman and saeco? I know what the mould wrench is but what is the sprue lube?

The sprue lube comes in a small tube. Bluish in colour.I put a dab on a Qtip and smear it on the backside of the hot sprue plate. It really helps to release the sprue from the plate.
It literally falls off!

The lyman/rcbs top punch are for their lube sizers like this http://www.lymanproducts.com/lyman/bullet-casting/4500-lube-sizer.php

The saeco style one is also a lube sizer but it's a push through design like the lee ones.

Sprue plate lube is exactly that, it's to lubricate the sprue plate and alignment pins on your molds. The sprue plate is what you pour the lead on/through then rotate to cut the sprue off the bullets.

I always order the Allen keys and lube just to have handy if I loose a bottle.

thanks, pretty sure I already have a lee style so will stay with that. I think I will get in on this order.

If you have the lee style (mounts to your press and ONLY sizes bullets then you don't need any punch. The saeco one sizes and lubes, looks like this. http://www.redding-reloading.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=80:saeco-lubri-sizer

And my mistake, the saeco is basically the same as the lyman/rcbs style. There is another machine called a star luber which lubes and sizes with 1 pull of the handle, where as the lyman, rcbs, and saeco you have to pull the handle up and down to size.

Top punches are for lube-sizing machines, if you use a Lee sizer you don't need one.
Mould wrenches in tis kit are 2 allan wrenches. It's worth $2.50, get it.
Spru oil is used (sparingly)on the top of the mold and the bottom of the spru plate, and on centralizers.
Spu lube is actually just 2 cycle oil = the same stuff you mix in the fuel on 2 cycle engines.

I've since found that my Webley shoots wonderfully well at the distance I can aim at anything with bog standard 158 .358 bullets.

Have not tried the 200 grain oversized ones yet

Jethunter, after trying your 200 grainers and seeing how well they shoot in my S&W, I decided to get into boolit casting!
So far I have ordered the 150 gr 2 cavity mould listed above and melted 200 lbs of pure lead into muffin pan ingots. I still need to get a furnace of some kind, looking at the Lee bottom pour. I also need some way to lube them. I can't wait to try making my own!

I figure if I need 200 gr ones again I can just order from you!

Mark 11: I have a GB 38-200 which is TOO long. Badly designed, if u crimp in crimp groove the cylinder won't turn. Solved it by using a semiwad top punch, forcing a flat on top of bullet(ie shorter). Hope your mold is ok.
