G'day fellow gun nutz. My question here is, does anyone have some good .38 S&W cartridge load data available, or some known data resources? It has been somewhat hard to find data! I have found a tiny bit of information, I believe, using hp-38 and unique, both just with the 148 gr ld rn.
Another option is working up a load with trail boss and back down 15% and work up. Has anyone here used trail boss in there .38 S&W ? If so ? How was it?
Also have any of you guys come across .361/.362 diameter ready to load bullet size, that is different weights and so on? Or better yet , possibly a 200 grain bullet with a dia of .361/.362 diameter

Any info or help would be greatly appreciated!

I should mention the 2 handguns i have are modern metallurgy. 1 is an model 10 American victory 5" and th other is a colt police positive 4". So there is no concern of metal strength.

I reload for a S&W Victory in .38 S&W. My load is 2.2gr W231 which I'm told is the same as HP38. I'm going to bump that up to 2.3gr next time, as I found a bit more unburnt powder than I expected.

I'm using Omaproducts .38 Super 160gr LRN, OAL is 1.150

I just revived an old jethunter thread in the antiques section, as i am going to get some bullets from him soon and he has both150 gr and the 200 gr bullets for the 38S&W! It is a thread about the .442./.44 webley.

if you order from R&R and are in the Ottawa area, let me know, I have property not far from him and could pick up cheaper than shipping it more than likely. pm me if interested.

Thanks all for the responses . I m sorry I took a couple days to get back on here. (Had meetings for a few days)
I ll have a look on jet hunter thread. Especially since a few of you speak of jet.
I believe I've just been on bullet barn site. I think the BB deals with 25-20 bullets also. Just picked up a vintage marlin 1894 25-20. So I did stumble on BB earlier this evening.
But does R&R have a website or is it just a call and ask and order.
