.38 S&W loads, information and more -- Needed

I don't like doing things half-assed. If I'm doing something, I want to be done how it should be or not done at all :D

And I won't be competition shooting and I don't own any Enfield revolvers.

I am very meticulous in my reloading. I have a very stressful job and to sit at a bench and cast bullets and reload is very relaxing for me. I of course have a database for each of my firearms, all categorized as far as accuracy goes with different powders/bullet combinations. Some people just need the firearm to go bang and that is good for them. I started with a 158 grn .358 sized bullet and quickly learned to hold at the top of the bullseye at 25 yards and you should be able to keep in the black. Use a softer lead/WW, I use 50% lead to 50% WW and air cool, it is a slow cartridge so you don't need the lead very hard, about 9-11 bhn will do. If you want to wring the most for accuracy out of the little revolver than size and weight will come into more of the equation. My kids all loved the little Webley/Enfields, very low recoil and something about the break open top that gets them smiling.

I must say that I have a thing for the S&W Victory model, always looking for another one.
