I accidentally purchased Berrys plated 148 gn HBWC when I thought I was buying lead. Decided to give them a try anyways and started looking for good loads. There's not a lot of info out there for his particular bullet, particularly for Bullseye powder, and experiences vary quite a bit so I had to extrapolate from the experience of others.

I decided to try 3.2 gn of Bullseye in .38 special cases with the bullet seated about 1/16" from flush with the case mouth and just enough crimp to take the bell off. Federal small pistol primers.

I've put 100 through my 4.2" 686 and so far I'm very pleased. These are shooting very well, very accurate, very clean and with moderate to light recoil. The indoor range is only 25 yards but if it ever warms up again I'll head out to the outdoor range and try em out to 50 yards.

These are so much cleaner than shooting lead and if the results stand up at 50 yards this could become my new favorite load.

i bought 2000 148gr HBWC (i think speer, they weren't marked) and use about 2.5 grains of bullseye, they are a tack driver even with my skill.

i wondered about the berry's, can you post a picture of them loaded?
