I got my transfer and picked a new-to-me S&W Model 52 (Smith & Wesson Model 52 / 38 Master) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smith_%26_Wesson_Model_52. Now looking to feed it with .38 Special Wadcutter ammo. I didn't realize that the ammo for that target pistol would be rare. Where can I find .38 SPECIAL WADCUTTER target ammo? Thanks Gun Nutz.

I have zero experience with this outfit... It was all I could find though. You would benefit a lot from reloading yourself. Both on account of cost and function of your gun.

Oley’s is good s**t. I’ve bought a bunch of guns from them. Although I do suspect some of their “used” ammo is other people’s reloads from estates and whatnot. OP you may have to make the drive up there. I was lucky enough to have a buddy make a drive past there and pick me up a box of the wadcutters. It pops up here and there, SFRC had some around Christmas that didn’t last long. I have a Model 52 as well and a PPC revolver and I pick up whatever wadcutter ammo I can find just to use as an example for when I start load development for them. .38 wadcutters are definitely something you’ll eventually have to load for.

Just buy a Lee Loader kit in .38 Spl and reload your own. It's easy, low tech and precise. $58 at Tenda for the Loader. Bullseye powder is $58 for a pound. The powder load is tiny, 2.8 grains, so get a decent scale. The Frankford Arsenal DS-750 at $60 is fine. 148 grain HBWC bullets (Hornady, lead) are $20 for 100 at Budget Shooter Supply, or Campro plated are $120 for 1,000. You don't need a press to make this ammo.

It's worth the drive to Port Perry. Williams can get you started reloading too. Best little gun store in the GTA.

Oley's is really great, ordered a few items from them online.

But you're absolutely right about reloading, especially in this case.

I found online and went this morning to Tenda and got boxes and boxes of Sellier & Bellot. I hope they get more. I'm not a loader. No time.

As has been said , just start reloading , I use to load lots for these guns as well as my colts , just leave enough lead sticking out the hold a crimp.
not to long ago I had a bunch of factory NOS dominion, all gone now.

It's full wadcutter I hope, these guns don't work with semi wad cutter. Save your brass even if not a reloader, you will be if shooting lots , and these are easy and cheap to load for.

Fair enough. You could also get friendly with a reloader. :)

Glad you found some loaded ammo to get you started.
