anyone know anyone that is carrying 38 special right now for a decent price? Prefer local to Calgary or cheap shipping.

also 38 special +p is ok to use in a 357 mag right? i know 38 special is OK but whats the +p

38+P is just a hotter load...........OK to shoot in .357 Mag.
 
Yeah it seems all they have is .38 special Cowboy action stuff in a 50 round box. Trying to figure out this cowboy action stuff, would just be using it for plinking so not sure if that will work, Wolverine has some +p so

You can try Wholesale Sports in Calgary. I sometimes buy it from them up here. Prices aren't too bad. Don't bother spending the extra $$ on the +P unless you are shooting the really thick targets;)

Pistols used in Cowboy Action shooting under the rules of the Single Action Shooting Society (SASS) are allowed to have a maximum muzzle velocity of 1,000 fps, the bullets also have to be made of lead as the targets are at short range and this helps prevent richocets.
 
The +p from wolverine is actually the cheapest I found other then wolf cowboy loads

So there is no issue with cowboy loads then just Plinking at about 7-10 yds
