.38 Super?

I think if they changed the name to 9mm magnum or something like that, the 38super would be much more popular. :lol:
I like it in my 1911, lots of pop but easy to control, loud as hell indoors, and you could probably light a cigarette off the fireball it produces. :oops:
 
Can't give you the actual reference, but as the 45GAP is not simply a shorter 45ACP case,
the 357 SIG is not 40S&W case simply necked down....
I believe the web section of the case is considerably more 'beefy' on the 357...
As well, God help the guy who uses 40S&W brass previously fired in a Glock necked down to save a few bucks.... A classic KABOOM in the making!

Back on topic... 38 Super is a terrific round...accurate, can be loaded mild to wild,and there is
a large number of ace bullet types and styles available (think 9MM)!
Currently I am enjoying my STI Trojan in 38Super ( as well as one in 40S&W) and am waiting for
a Kimber Target model in stainless to arrive! :D

I have a Kimber Stainless Target II in .38 Super and it's quite a tack driver. I can put five rounds into one ragged hole at seven yards shooting freestyle....most of the time....
 
Glock chambers do not support the base of the cartridge... If you look at at case fired in a Glock
it is seriously 'bulged' at the base... that's why Glock voids their warranty on their guns which
have used reloads.
It's not a good idea to reuse,as suggested in the Glock manual, brass which has been fired in a
Glock.... do so at your, and the people around you's, peril!
 
I think you are getting something you have heard mixed up. Glock brass is bulged, yes, to the point where it may not be resized by your sizing die. But it can't Kaboom if it can't fit in your non-glock chamber. Glock doesn'tr want you to use reloads for liability isues, everyone, and I mean everyone , shoots reloads in their Glock.
