.380 Question

Have you shot/owned one? They seem really cool but the guns are almost impossible to find and when they pop up they tend to be quite pricey

Yes, I own one and I do shoot it. I bought it new and was told when I bought it that 85 had come into the country. They do come up from time to time in the EE.

I'll bet a small polymer frame would be unpleasant to shoot. I got rid of my stainless ppk because it was downright nasty with the small grips. The PP is quite a bit better.

Not at all. Having shot both the G42 and G43 as well as several Keltec pistols the recoil is more than manageable and easy to control.

Have your friend try the browning 1911. (I know you said no 1911's) But with its 15% smaller frame and 380 recoil, I bet it would definatly be a hit in the fitment department. They are quite a bit smaller than a full size even though 15% doesn't sound like much. It would be necesary to replace the plastic sights though.

Never fired one, but have held 2 of them, and I am impressed! Fit and finish are amazing!

Are you saying the Glock 43/42 frame was too large? I've never shot one but held a Glock 42 @ Calgary shooting center and it's frame is significantly smaller than the 17/19/26 frames. I would honestly think a rebarreled 42 would have been the best option.

That is correct. 42&43 are "slimline". But no Canadian-legal barrel as of yet for G42. Maybe if enough people show interest one of the exporters could get a large order in for us.
