386 XL Hunter....arrives.

Had this show up today. They weren't kidding when they named it the XL. I though the box was empty before I opened it.

Initial thoughts. Love the HiViz sight, Trigger pull (DA) is off the scale of my Lyman digital. (SA) avg was 4.2 lbs, the grip feels a little small in my hands. Can't believe how light it is.

whats the weight on it? Muzzle jump much with full on 357?

Haven't shot it yet. I've had it less than a hour. Weight is listed at 30 ozs versus a 43.9 ozs for the 686 Plus and 46.3 ozs for the 586.

I will definitely run through a range of loads from min to max with this one and a 686

Doesn't seem to be a stocked item at most places. I had been looking for one off an on. Some places I called told me they never heard of it and asked if I had my info correct. Ordered from Kelly's Sporting Goods (Inwood, ON) Price was $899. Fit and finish are what you'd expect from S&W. From start to finish it took 8 days to get.
