Has anyone tried the 39 grain Sierra Blitz King in a 204 ? I was wondering how well they work on varmits and how the accuracy is.
 
Never tried them in the 204 i owned but after all my research was completed (a willy-nilly internet search) for the most-likely-to-be-accurate bullet in 204 in all different makes and models of 204 rifles, the 39 sbk appeared to be the clear winner in my mind. There are loads of reports of people staying this bullet produced the best groups for their particuar rifle. I never ended up getting my hands on any before I sold the rifle unfortuately. Enjoy the quest for the holy grail in accuracy.
 
I have a Howa 1600 in .204, didn't shoot factory ammo good, reloaded some 39gr SBK and did the whole ladder thing, now it shoots like a laser! Check 6mmBR they have some useful info. on the .204 along with barrel twists ect.
 
39 blitz king with 26g varget = 0.5" or less groups all day including flyers.

First bullet I could make smiley faces with at 100 yards.

Got them with the gun, now to find a supplier in Ottawa...may have to call Elwood Epps!
 
When I had my .204 Ruger (which I miss very much) the first bullet I used was the 32 grain V-Max. Worked great but then switched to the Sierra Blitz King 39 grain and it was my go to bullet for that cartridge.

When I was active in that community there were report of a few rifles that would not stabilize the heavier bullet however most found it to be a great bullet.

My factory Savage barrel and a replacement Shilen both shot great with the standard 1-12" twist. Very accurate and very frangible, perfect on gophers.
 
I have tried them in all three of my 204s. They were all acceptable for acurate but I have a load for gophers with 40gr Vmaxs that works better for my Varmint rifle. For my coyote calling rifle I prefer 35gr Bergers. If my new Sako ever shows up someday I will try to find a load with the BKs for it just to try and keep the loaded rounds from getting mixed up.

i got those bullets at p&d in edmonton they had lots last time i checked
 
I don't know what kind of rifle you're using, but my Savage Model 16 loves these. Supposedly, they're just slightly better stabilized than the 40 grain,and I have the targets to prove it.

I'm running 25.6 grains of Benchmark over CCI BR-4's with Remington brass.

Tried the Nosler and Hornady 40 grains, but I'm sticking with the Blitzkings
