3BarD side rail vs Master mount

So I had bought Murray's ak safety adapter but he didnt have any side rails in stock. Last time he said they'd be in stock for christmas, but it's march and no stock and I want to get this thing on. Just wondering if anyone's tried running the safety with a master mount? Does anyone have the full 3barD set (safety and side rail), and if you do how much of a difference does his ball detent system make? I tried the safety on without the ball detent and it felt a little mushy...
