3D printed 10/22 Mag Extension

Through Canadian Rimfire Precision Series facebook group I found link to a 3D printed 10/22 Mag extension.

At work today we printed the long extension and once I glue in place with epoxy I will have a mag that can be placed and extracted easily from mag pounches to practice reloading drills. I was going to try and source 10 rd butler creek mag but this way cooler and I can use my mags.

Haven't glued it on yet but based on design, if I use JB weld or epoxy I am pretty sure they wont come apart. The 3d print leaves fine ridge for the glue to grip

Nice. I plan to get a 3D printer eventually and print myself some AR and AK-style extensions/sleeves for my 10 rounder 10/22 mags to complement the chassis they're in. I hate the look of the skinny curved ones.

Have you thought about printing the whole external body of the magazine and moving over the internals? Kind of like the tandemkross double-cross does, moves the internals to a new body.

Many different designs are running across my desk from other SR (Service Rifle) shooters who are also 10/22 lovers. It’s going to be an interesting season for rimfire around our shooting community. So pleased to see everyone stepping up like crazy/excitement/fervour/enthusiasm.

The Ruger 10/22 platform lends itself to Rimfire CQB and Rimfire Raceguns and other rimfire fun. Many upgrades are available, now we Match Directors have to step up and provide a context for this community. All great fun.

I will always have different renditions crossing my desk, and I can/will / might/may bring them to the Rimfire events!

This came off the printer 1/2 an hour ago. At the request of a fellow gunnut; I don't have a 10/22. Fits snug, maybe about 5-10 lbs of force to remove it. Just a fin to grab hold of if your mag doesn't want to come out easily.

I've printed a bunch of these. They work great.

I have a bunch of these made by Zee and they work very well. They fit the ruger brand magazines as is without any filing or sanding and so far have survived a Rimfire Challenge shoot with them epoxied in place (JB Weld).

It's a low cost option that works, highly recommended.
