3D Printed SIG P226 9mm to .22LR Magazine Conversions

This is great! The SIG P226 classic 22 was always my favorite but I sold it because I disliked the "no lock back on last round" and was not satisfied with sigpower solution.

Time to sell the cheapo GSG and get the classic 22 again! :D

Someone has asked about wear over time. I have noticed some compression of the feed lips where the rim of the top round of the stack pushes against the lips. This has not affected performance in my testing, though I will update this thread if I find any issues. For now, I'm going to recommend not leaving these loaded for long periods of time.

*edit* well past 1000 rounds for one of the earlier insert prototypes, still runs 100%

Update:

1. These inserts do work for both the 9mm and .40/.357 mags.

2. I was unable to get the short mag inserts to work reliably with both a 10-round capacity and the last round hold open feature. So there won't be inserts for the short mags with plastic baseplates.

3. Standalone mags will be available next week.

Did some more extensive testing with the standalone mags yesterday. ~500 rounds through one mag (pink), 50 drops from 5' onto concrete and 50 rounds through the other (black). The base of the mag held up much better than I had expected. There was some minor deflection and scratching, but it functioned fine after 50 drops. I believe this is because the baseplate is integrated with the mag body, there is no thin piece of plastic on the base of the mag to break.

Yes, they will be available in pink.

I just got some of the stand alone mags and they are awesome. Better feeding than the stock mag too. I will be getting more. Great job making these, they are a must for any Sig .22 kit!

I've tried PM'ing you and no response wrt to my interest a lock back option for the P226 .22LR. Can you let me know when you might be back in production, please n thanks.

I'd like to order 3 of the 22lr stand alone mags for my 229 when they're available. I live in New Jersey USA and I've tried to get ahold of the guy in Texas USA but haven't gotten any response.
Please contact me via e-mail @ imgizzy2@yahoo.com

Just new here. Wondering if GSdesigns.ca are still in bushiness. I ordered a P226 22 lr mag but no reply as yet. Anyone know if these guys are still around. See that this thread is a little old?
