3gun AR Barrel Length Choice

I ended up buying a Aero Precision 14.5" Middy Goverment profile from EE. I think this will be perfect!!!

remember the pro's are in the usa where shoots out to 200 to as far as 700 are common, the "majority" of 3gun in canada is going to be cqb style with 90+% of the shots being under 50 yds..... long shots would only be 100-200 at the most and usually under 6 targets.

The eesa rifle match last year really tripped people up becausethey believed this

At our Team Hoser matches we can usually manage rifle shots to about 50-60 yards on a 4" target... On a few occasions we've set up 100 yards shots on similarly sized targets. 'Has everything to do with available real estate.

Surprisingly though... I can't friggin' believe how many shooters can't hit a 6" or 8" target at ten feet...
'Seems few remember their sight off-set at such close distances... LoL

for most canadian ranges its not the "real estate" issue but how the range is templated and "safe shootin" directions..... unfortunatly we all get screwed. ontario more then others with the shrouded steel bull crap.

Just get what you want (looks like you did) then get another one to keep it company. You know you want a 7 or 10" plus that 14.5 and maybe an 18". Why waste all that time sourcing and changing barrels to play, just get multiple guns
