I know I should probably get a moss 590 but the fun factor of a semi keeps bringing me back to the 930. In Canada would the 930 with a +1 extension so tube holds 5 be legal ? Would this allow me to run with pumps and be useful in a 3 gun as then you could then put 5 in tube,1 in chamber and ghost load 1 and have 7 rounds? If not ill probably stick with the pump.

Well, considering you are competing against some guys who have extensions on their pump guns, then no.
You don't see too many semi's at 3 gun in Ontario...some, but not many. However, if you like the 930 and like loading it, I would recommend going that route.
At the end of the day, its better to have guns you enjoy shooting. You can do well in any match no matter what handicap there is. In this case, you just gotta be pretty good at loading. At our last 3 gun match, a buddy of mine showed up with an AR with iron sights and no compensator (a faux paux in 3 gun) and still beat the vast majority of people.
FYI, some matches start on an empty chamber. And its hard to ghost load the 930 in that condition, or at least I haven't figured out how yet. Just seems to jam up if there isn't a round in the pipe to start.

I shoot both the 590A1 SPX and the 930 SPX, I do find myself reaching for the 930 more and more. It's just more fun 
Pump has the capcity and you reload less, but the Semi just feels faster... Could be because the trigger on the 930 is FAR superior to the one on the 590, could be it's 1.5" shorter, lighter and handier too.

Pump/semi... 'Shouldn't matter if match divisions aren't putting those two types of actions in the same group.
We Canadians seem to have a hard-on for mag capacity....
If MD's wanted to, capacity could be rendered moot by way of stage design thus f**ing over those who thought they'd have an advantage by having a high(er) capacity mag.
Of course I know of no MD that is so mean and spitefull...

Some stages I was in requires bird to breach a door, 3 slugs at 50, then bird to finish the rest of the stage.
My question is: Do choke tubes interfere with slug operation?
Mind you, my 930 does not have screw in choke tubes, but I can see how using #4 at longer distances can benefit from using a choke.
Chokes shouldn't have too much of an affect on slugs.
Only way to know for sure is to test them with the chokes you intend to shoot in a match and see where the point of impact is relative to point of aim.
I mostly use light modified in my shotgun and know where the slugs hit.
I also know where they hit with IC and Skeet chokes just in case.
Full or extra full might not give you the best groupings but I haven't found the need to use those chokes in any events I have been to.

Maybe I am wrong here but, to the best of my knowledge only certian types of slugs can safely be fired through a choke.
Every manual for my shotguns expressly warns of shooting slugs through chokes. One even states"be absolutly sure to remove choke prior to ANY type of slug being used" failure to remove= severe injury,death blah..blah blaa

My $.02:

The slight bit of compression that may occur is no different than a wad full of lead shot doing the same thing. The slugs are hollow and can compress/deform.
I feel safe shooting my slugs out of any choke, but as I said in my prior post, typically never need to go tighter than light modified.
Also, I find that shooting them through my light modified choke improves the overall grouping at the ranges I typically shoot at.
