Well, considering you are competing against some guys who have extensions on their pump guns, then no.
You don't see too many semi's at 3 gun in Ontario...some, but not many. However, if you like the 930 and like loading it, I would recommend going that route.
At the end of the day, its better to have guns you enjoy shooting. You can do well in any match no matter what handicap there is. In this case, you just gotta be pretty good at loading. At our last 3 gun match, a buddy of mine showed up with an AR with iron sights and no compensator (a faux paux in 3 gun) and still beat the vast majority of people.
FYI, some matches start on an empty chamber. And its hard to ghost load the 930 in that condition, or at least I haven't figured out how yet. Just seems to jam up if there isn't a round in the pipe to start.
