3rd Annual 2017 - My Black Rifle shoots sub-MOA groups all day long challenge!

And that's a swing and a miss...

Got out today. Pretty blustery, with a swirling, gusty cross wind running around 15-20km/h. It felt OK from the firing line, but was way worse downrange. Oh well, hopefully I learned something besides the fact that this is going to be harder than expected.

No pics of the rifle, since I didn't get there. I'm responsible for the numpty shot outside the border on #1 but even without it included the group is still 1.25". So, first time out I got 2 of 5 to go. Next time I am going to try for more consistency on my setup and maybe the weather will cooperate a bit as well.

Anybody else having better luck than me?

Here is my result!
Rifle:
American Spirit Arm, 16 inches bull barrel
223 rem, twist 1:8
Trigger tech trigger,
JP silent capture buffer
Scope: Trijicon Accupoint 5-20 x 50 mildot

My reloaded ammo: SMK 69, H335 21,7 gr, COAL 2,260 2600 FPS

I was able to get all the 5 targets bellow 1 MOA, the best one being 0.66
I included the calculation with Ballistic AE on my iphone: target 1: 0.77 MOA, target 2: 0.79 MOA, target 3: 0.99 MOA, target 4: 0.78 MOA, target 5: 0.66 MOA

Damn! Nice shooting SpinalMath! Damn close to 3/4MOA groupings. Your name has been added to the roster.

73gr Hornady ELD and 23.0gr of RL15 looks promising.
