Ouch.... Lol.

Regrettably... I won't be able to attend. February 13 is the same date as my annual CAOSB (Canadian Association of Sissy Boys) conference.

It's Canada. It's February. Can you and your gear handle an outdoor match like no other?

Registration for our Saturday February 13th, 2016 2-Gun Match (rifle & handgun) is officially open. All registrations are taken on a first come, first served basis. Spots are limited so secure a spot as quickly as you can. All registration fees are non-refundable and we will run snow or shine but you may assign your registration to another shooter provided we are given advanced notice.

This is an outdoor 2-gun match (rifle and handgun) Squad sizes will be limited and you will be shooting for 2 hours. Our heated clubhouse (with bathroom) will be available for your use and burn-barrels placed outside. Prizes will be raffled off as usual with donations from Marathon Watch Company, Select Shooting Supplies, and North Eastern Arms. More details with respect to prizes, updates, etc. will be provided closer to the match date.

The link to the registration page can be found above. Once you have registered you can squad yourself right away. Payment is via EMT only and must be made within 24 hours of squadding or you may be deleted from your squad.

We also would like to let shooters know that, just like all of our previous matches, every penny of your registration fees is used to purchase new targets/materials with the remainder being donated back to the Galt Sportsmens Club for letting us use their range. This ensures not only that you get to shoot new and interesting targets but that we have a venue for these types of events.

I just got word that NEA will be donating a complete 300 Blackout upper in burnt bronze as well as some other bits and pieces! Lots of cool prizes up for grabs.

We've had a couple shooters change their squad and one who never paid so there is currently one spot available at 9am, one at 11:30am, and one at 2:30pm.

I'd love to use the NEA upper I won from last year, but my ammo while lead core has a jacket that will attract a magnet. Any idea of the round count? Maybe I'll start saving up for some 7.62 hunting ammo. It's that or use my wife's AR in 5.56 with pink furniture on it.

Round counts are not finalized yet. Based on our previous winter matches I'd say shooters should bring 100 rounds each of pistol and rifle ammo.

Steel cased ammo is fine, any steel in the projectile is not. If the projectile sticks to a magnet then you cannot shoot it at our match, full stop. Shooters are advised to check their ammo before showing up to the match - anyone found with rifle or handgun ammo that does not pass the magnet test will be DQ'd on the spot.

All registered shooters will be getting a pre-match briefing email 2 weeks before the match and again 2 days before the match.

Shooters will be starting one stage inverted so please make sure your holster retention is set correctly.
