4 - 16 Scope Options For Someone Burned By Bushnell

The new Zeiss Terra series looks good for around the $500 mark, I think their offering is a 4-12x though. And you can't go wrong with the Vortex warranty either, I just picked up a pair of their binoculars and the glass seems good. Which Bushnell model were you using? I've had real good luck with the two Elites I have, good scopes for what I paid and they hold zero, even on the 300 mag.

Nikon Monarch 4-16. I'm running the 42mm objective version, wish I had bought the 50mm objective version.
(would have given decent brightness at 16X).

My Hubby had a Nikon scope and it was wonderful. Good value and great glass. Very clear glass at late light.

A lot of people have commented favorably on the Vortex warranty.
Think about it.
That's true but a lot of people appreciate the warranty from Leupold too. While I don't have much experience with Vortex, a good warranty is a good thing either way.

I know some guys will chastise me for this but I had pretty good luck with my Falcon Menace 4.5-18x56. Never had an issue (knock on wood). You could get the 4-14 for $400 or step up to the 5.5-25 for $520 (both from Frontier). Just mentioned as an option.

Sorry - I had two FMs. A 1.5-5 for Service Rifle, and a 4.5-14 for precision. Liked both, did pretty well with them. Until both failed during competition. Wouldn't touch one now with someone else's 10' pole if reliablilty mattered. And when doesn't it?

I hear you...I've heard of many guys with issues with them...but I've been lucky. I'm not sure I'd buy another for fear of getting a bad one but so far the one I have has been rock solid (and I've had it since 2009). Just sayin'.
