4 5/8" barrel in holster that fits 6.5 inch barrel

Any idea if a holster that fits a 6.5 inch barrel will work for a shorter barreled gun? Or will it be clumsy? There isn't a tie down or anything like that, just an open top. Thinking about a 4 5/8 or 5 1/2 inch barrel colt clone. Holster fits a Ruger 357 as is.

Shorter barrel will not be clumsy in a longer holster.
Not sure what model the Ruger .357 is but if it's a single action it should be good to go.

Should work fine. The holster will likely cradle the wheelguns frame/cylinder area, leaving the barrel to protrude down into the holster's channel for it. It may look funny but should be functional.
