#4 Buckshot

^ Yep. I’ve never in my entire life seen anything but 000 & 00.

as you've heard, the Federal 00 buckshot in cans has been selling like hot cakes, and with good reason, nothing else comes close in price. so:

a) Crayton - i know you prefer #4, but why not a 00 deal like this if it means such substantial savings? there's more around and more to come. and,

b) Canada Ammo [and other retailers] - can't anyone put together a comparable case price for slugs? the shotgun community awaits! :)

^^Its all about the size!

#4 has some advantages in several instances. I prefer #4 buck for my hp9 14inch with open choke. Less per pellet energy but denser patterns with more hit opportunities past 20 yards if the need ever came up. Also for predator and beaver control the denser patterns are welcome. 27 pellets vs 9 in standard loads. So I understand the want for these loads.

Paul @ CanAm was kind enough to email me. Federal 2 3/4" #4 Buck is available at $6.19/5rds. 2-3 week ETA.

I'm with cheapskate. 27 projectiles makes for a significantly denser pattern than 9 projectiles.

Thanks to CanAm for their prompt response.

hey crayton, have you considered BB and BBB? awfully close to #4 buck at about half the price. might come close meeting your patterning needs and save you some coin too.
...just my two cents ;-)
