Ok I have my Glock 17 and my S&W MP45. I am now thinking of getting a .40. The Jericho in.40S&W caught my attention. Does anyone have one or any other recommendations for .40S&W out there?

Hey there, i have owned 3 sigs in .40: 226 sas dak, pro 2022, and 226 E2, i sold all of them. I have a jericho in .40, and i will keep it forever!
Great price, quality built, solid gun, no plastic parts....unlike the new sigs.:D
Jericho .40 +1

I like my .40 Browning Hi Power. Once you get rid of the magazine un-safety and replace the 32 lb mainspring with a 26 lb one, the trigger improves considerably.

The S&W M&Ps are another good choice.

I will agree with the m&p , i have one it was my first pistol and can shoot it incredibly well . before buying it though i shot a para ord in .40 , a cz75 in .40 and glock compact in 40 . the m&p was very easy to manage the recoil , all the others had considerably more muzzle flip.

I just ordered up a compact Glock 23 with IGB Barrel today in .40 ...Never shot one (only tried a 22).... can't wait to try it out...my first polymer gun ever...finally had to break down and add a Glock to the shooting stable.

Have read a lot of great things about the G23 mostly on US gun sites. What really pushed me over the top to get this pistol was watching this guy Hicock on youtube...hit a small gong with this pistol from 230 yards...unbelievable !

If you have not seen this video...check it out ...this guy is a shooter extraordinaire http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zFd3kF6LHz4

Why don't you grab a Sig P226 on .40S&W. Then you'll have both polymer and steel framed pistols and a variety of calibers! Unless you prefer the polymer, thats cool too!:)

Glock 23 with IGB Barrel today in .40

x2

Both Questar and Sporteque have new G23's. I suspect that Police Ordnance could get them too.

Sporteque also has them used, at a price that is an excellent value.

I've shot a handful including Glock, Sig, H&K and the M&P. In my opinion best all around bang for the buck went to the M&P40, it was the best fit for me and price wise it was easy to pay for and when I found one here on CGN in awesome condition with low round count I had to buy. I have not been disappointed by my M&P and of my 6 handguns it is far and above the most accurate in my hands.

My only suggestion to you is to try to get hands on with as many of your options as you can before you purchase, you may surprise yourself.

Good luck with your decision.
