.40 S&W falling out of favor?

If you reload, Berry’s Hybrid Hollow Point 147 grain plated heads are available from CustomAmmo and Budget Shooter.
They are reputed to be as effective as Gold Dots.

I load them over 4.5 grains LongShot.

Cardboard targets don’t stand a chance.

Based on the scrap brass at my range 9mm is about 10x more popular than 40. I sometimes see 45 ACP in the bucket and I can't remember seeing any 10mm. Of course, this is just the brass that the shooter is not collecting for reloading. I was surprised to see a pile of 45 Colt on my last trip.

Not a great indicator; 40 and 45 owners tend to reload.

He is dyslexic. Try worrying about something that matters instead of someone's grammar... BTW you spelt grammar wrong and "post" should not be capitalized

Sorry to hear he is dyslexic. Wouldn't handling firearms be unsafe for some one in his condition? I sincerely hope he is keeping himself and everyone else around him safe.

Still love for the .40 S&W for me.

Considering the button says "Post Quick Reply" I would say having post capitalized is entirely acceptable...

But do they? Got any hard stats to back that up? Sure, the IPSC guys are going to reload because they shoot hundreds if not thousands of rounds a month, and here on CGN it seems most people reload but I'm the only one of my friends who reloads and most people I see at the range are shooting factory ammo or reusing the boxes.

It's correct in that case because it is a title and post is also the first word. How he used it is not correct. Besides all that I was just sticking up for BBB.

Yes, actually; Only one of the .45 shooters at my club does not reload (He picks up his brass for me).. About 1/2 of the .40 shooters reload. Almost none of the 9mm shooters reload. Look at the cost of ammo.

BTW, try not to keep discussion civil even when you don't agree. What does "reusing" ammo boxes have to do with the discussion? I gave mine away a long time ago.

Well my range has a few reloaders, but I haven't met someone yet reloading 9mm, and I've met only a handful reloading .45acp, and less than that loading .40s&w. Am I missing something, how was suther not keeping it civil? If I understand correctly, he was just saying people who may or may not have been reloading were using factory ammo boxes, making it hard to tell if they were shooting factory or reloaded ammo! Correct me if I'm wrong.

I didn't think anything I said was being uncivil? At any rate, the ammo box comment was to imply that I can't be sure it's factory ammo people are shooting, but it's coming out of factory ammo boxes so if it's reloads they're reusing their boxes.

Also one persons experience at one club is hardly a big enough sample size to make sweeping claims like most 40/45 shooters reload. Anecdotally there seems to be plenty who don't at my club, seems Gmoney47's club is the same...

Lol is it really possible to go through life without gaining at least the most basic understanding of what dyslexia is...?
