40 S&W vs 9mm

A Sig 226 in .40 is ideal for many reasons.

It's a Sig

You can get a barrel and magazine in 9mm

You can get a Slide/Barrel and Magazine in .22LR for practice and not "wear out" your gun, although I have never seen it in 25 years of shooting handguns.

You can get a.357 Sig Barrel and use the .40 Magazines if you are picky and want a version of the .40 necked down to 9mm getting .357 Magnum performance in a large frame auto....

.40 and 9mm brass is all over the ranges for reloading. I am finding way more .40 these days.

The List goes on.

go 9mm they last longer and are cheaper to shoot....what do most police agencies in canada shoot provincial and federal.....9mm...

Not sure why that is important - How many Canadian police forces shoot 45? 22LR? 44mag?

Also, are we seeing 40S&W chambered pistols 'wearing out' or otherwise not lasting as long as their 9mm brothers?

Agree with you on cost.
