Hi there:

I've got a 40-303 Martini project on th EE that isn't selling, so I'll probably take it down. What confounds me about the project is there seems to be no such thing as .400-.408 bullets. Am I stuck making my own molds? Bore .400 groove .408. I have a mill and lathe, and plenty of lead. The round is nearly identical to 40-60 Maynard. With .408 grooves what size of bullet? I assume about .408.

I cast for .40-60 Marlin , .40-65 Win. & .40-82 Win. all with the same RCBS Mould ( Special Order) .
Mould # is 40 - 260 - Sharps . Part # is 55005 . I size them .408 & .410 . Standard wt. is 260 gr.
I usually cast wheel weights & they weigh 280 gr. Shoot very well . ,,,,,,,,,,, Frank
