.40S&W Reload for Major Power Factor

I have a CZ Tactical Sport coming soon so I'm looking for a recipe for reloading for Major Power factor reliably and with the lowest recoil.

I use Titegroup for my 9mm but reload data shows it's hard to safely make major power factor with it in .40S&W, was looking use a 180gr or 200gr Campros bullet.

Many of the slower powders will work well.
180 gr bullet
231 4.8gr
HS6 7.5gr
PowerPistol 6.5 gr
Universal 5.5gr
3N37 6.0gr
Win Auto Comp 5.8gr


Personally, I prefer PowerPistol Meters well and ignites well. 200 gr bullets group better in my FNS40L

Your loads must be chonied in your pistol. I find a significant variation in velocity from pistol to pistol. Glocks shoot faster than others.

It's been my understanding that in order to achieve the lowest preciveable recoil to use the powder that requires the smallest charge weight.

My load was for a 1911 in 40SW (classic major) with 10mm mags (longer ammo feeds better in a 1911).
So play with oal and powder charges with caution.

200gr Campro 40SW, federal primer, 4.5gr tite group, 177-178PF.
As always, start lower and use with caution. If using campro’s load data lenght (shorter), reduce powder again as shorter ammo has more pressure.

Edit : was also my exact same recipe in an STI edge for standard. Same lenght and all.
