So I set up at the range yesterday. Placed 700p on bench. Set up and notices a silver steel ball on the bench. Thought who would shoot a BB gun here or maybe buckshot. Looked too small for a bb. Thought nothing of it and carried on shooting. About 25 rounds in notices the spring sitting on my gloves on the bench under the action. It all came together as I have spent some time tuning that trigger. The ball was long gone still have the spring and still shot normally without it. Tested trigger pull when I got home and still pulled just under 2lbs. I looked over the diagram and since nothing seemed to change does it need to be there?

I understand that. Thanks. Just thought it would act differently when removed. Not sure if I'll order parts or find a different trigger. Is it unsafe to shoot without it?

All the way out = the trigger is a light as it will adjust ... you can leave those parts out. However if you want to adjust the trigger heavier, those parts are required.

Thankyou. That's what I was hoping and thinking from the diagram.

40x rifles are an expensive rifle to purchase. Parts are not cheap to buy. I put four 40x repeaters in
McMillan stocks with winchester trigger guards.
