40X Value

Hey guys. What would you pay for a Remington 40X single shot action? Serial number is 39###B manufactured in 1972. Thanks.

Rem 40X only benefit over a standard 700 is that it's slightly stiffer being a single shot. The 40XBBR receiver is arguably somewhat better due to the different hardening procedure. Relative to the cost of custom actions and depending on condition $600+/- .

depends on bolt face but 5-600 is about right for a .473 action only
