I'm new to this. I have recently aquired a .41 Colt Thunderer with 100 brass and leads. I have the dies (Redding) but no loader. I think I can find that locally though.
I read on here to use black powder but to watch not to have any air space. These leads are hollowed in the bottom. Is this going to affect anything? Is there different types of black powder? Also, what kind of primers do I use (are some better than others?)
Thanks.

You can also use heel bullets:

Dave Scovill wrote on the .41 Colt in Handloader no196 with a small update in no197 (he used Pyrodex P and FFFg black powder).

Lee Precision made, at the time, a special Factory Crimp Die for the heel bullets; Email them if you don't find it in their catalog.
Starline has brass.
