41 long branch

I have a 41 long branch 0L2781 with a 41
barrel marked with the same serial number.
The barrel is almost mint, still trying to get
it clean
It also has AA 29045 stamped on it

What is the AA number?

Neat, thats a nice low serial as well. Very early production.

Hows the rest of the rifle?

Yes pictures please...is the rest period correct....waisted front sight protector, round style cocking knob etc...

A few years ago I saw a number of Long Branch rifles at a local shop. They all had a separate "AA ###x" serial number stamped on the wrist. These rifles were in rough shape. They looked like they had been dragged behind a truck down a dirt road. I recall hearing or reading somewhere that they were from New Zealand.

What about this, got a number of these in Israel years ago and kept them

Nice, serial numbers 608 and 10,481 retaining their original front sight guards and front bands!
