When I shot a lot of skeet I used a Win 101 OU skeet choked. that gun was not chambered for 3" so I developed a load of copper plated 6's with a little gratrex buffering in it. In the 101 the pattern density was was good out to 15 yards. I shot a lot of partridge on moose hunts plus two mallards over the years with that load. The 410 in 2.5" loads can be very lethal if the ranges are kept short, due to the pattern density of 1/2 oz of shot becoming to thin at longer distances to make clean kills, on game your not not using #9 shot which keeps the pattern dense enough skeet purposes.
I would highly suggest patterning your 410 and various loads at various distances. It will be a highly educational and telling experience for sure.
