Does anyone know of a gunsmith with a .410 reamer? Preferably in Alberta but any province will do. I'm trying to convert my Enfield .410 to shoot commercial .410 ammo. TIA

Not sure what you enfield is chambered for, but I guess it 2 3/4" and not 3". On the face if it, it looks lkie an easy job to ream the chamber to 3". This issue with doing this is that the unsupported rim of the 3" can not take the extra pressure and will blow out. The only solution is to make and fit a chamber insert that support the end of the shell.

I wouldn't go 3" with the jail guard issued .410 Enfields as they used a short shell based on a straight walled .303 case. You might get away with a 2.5" chamber.I believe these were single shots. Were they choked at all?Homemade 3 ball buckshot would work.................JMO Harold *********there is no 2 3/4" chambered .410 they are either 2.5" or 3"

my 1913 Enfield .410 is for 2 1/2 " shells. The guns were only single shots as the .410 shells will not cycle thru the mag. I tried. so I just use the mag to carry a few extra shells on hand.
