I thought they looked like a good deal , can’t recall seeing those type of rifles on here,so thought I’d mention them, just it case someone was interested.

The 416 comes with a box ammo, it says dangerous game series on the box.. lol
What would you use that for?

Thought I just seen .416 bullets on Hirsch Precisions web page. 500 grain bullets.
I would of thought one of those would blow a Deers head , clean off.. lol

my 500 Jeffery shoots 570gr bullets at 2200fps. its the fps that really causes damage. I haven't shot any game with it yet I just like having them and shooting paper/non living stuff
same goes for the 375hh and 460 Weatherby

but if the fps is kept in lower 2000's its not as damaging as you think. or if you use solid bullets it helps lots too, just passes through same as cast bullets

416 Ruger I would shoot animals to about 400 yards. So not long range but it's not a "brush gun." Although typically dangerous game is hunted at shorter rather than longer ranges.

yeah shorter range for sure, my 460 shoots a 600gr bullet at 2400fps and the 375 shoots a 300gr bullet at 2400 and these are big round nose low BC so they drop fast

Depends what your definition of shorter range is. You can get some pretty impressive velocities with a 416 and lighter bullets such as the 300gr TSX. 2700-2800fps sorta thing.
