  • 350gr Speer & Re7 @ 2000 fps mv low/moderate pressure
  • poli-fil used to keep powder against primer
  • not a recommendation non-published loading but works for me
  • target practice / lower recoil hunting load
  • 100m POI close to 350gr TTSX@2500 fps POI
  • iron sights windage-adjustable only fun to use simple & robust

Alliant 2400

  • today tried Alliant 2400 works not too bad in my .458's for reduced loads
  • Speer 350gr Mag Tip / 2.2cc~29gr 2400+polyfil / 9-1/2M primer / Hornady brass
  • not a recommendation non-published load safe in my rifle only
  • low pressure POI high with hunting load zero 340gr@2500 fps mv
  • aim with reticle as shown Zeiss Conquest V4 1-4x
  • light load good for plinking 👍

Interesting. I have never really done much fooling around with my Ruger Alaskan.416. Just developed a 400gr Interlock load and that’s it. I should fool around with it more someday.

210gr 41 caliber

  • today tried Hornady 210gr 41 caliber / Herco+polyfil / BR-2
  • patched to bump 0.410" bullet diameter to ~0.416"
  • not a recommendation but works fine for me in my rifle only
  • not bad accuracy low cost alternative to costly hunting bullets for plinking
  • better accuracy using high pressure tape patch ;)
