.416x2" Reloading Dies

Guy I know up here built a 458 American, and uses any and all standard belted magnum brass, 264 win, 7mm Rem, 300 Win, 338 Win, that has cracked necks, and consequently unsuitable for reloads. Most of it he picks up at the range.

He just hacksaws of the shoulders with a 20 tooth/inch blade, then anneals, and then forms, trims to length, chamfers and loads. I'm sure you could do the same for your 416X2inch.

I basically do the same for my 458 American. But I went the more expensive route & purchased RCBS forming dies & I skip the annealing process.
I didn't mind doing this as I received the proper RCBS reloading dies (class F?) with the rifle purchase at an incredible price.

You are absolutely right, Ted, all standard belted magnum brass will work. I now have a trim die to compliment the forming and sizing dies so making cases is easier and less time-consuming. Nice .458x2" Mauser, Brutus.
