43 Mauser Single Shot Rifle

Thought you might like to see a recent project converting a side hammer shotgun to a 43 Mauser rifle, with a lot of help from Oskar. A poor man's version of an expensive European rifle:

Yes Sleeved with a 71 barrel and shortened a bit for better handling.

Oskar and I have done some neat work but unfortunately we didn't take too many before pictures. It started out as a $150.00 parts gun. I spent several days on the wood and the best part of one day restoring the butt plate and then Oskar did the rest. Goes to show what can be accomplished with a little effort.
