4350 vs. RLXX

Not sure what Alliant product would push a 95 gr out of a .243 comparable to 4350. Is there any advantage to using an RL-17, 19 or 22 over a Hodgdon product for this caliber and bullet weight? I don't have any tables handy to compare burn rates-would I be looking at the RL-19 or 22 to do the job?

Reloader 19

Reloader 19 will work with the 243 winchester. H4350 works well also.

Ive used RL-22..about 44 grains behind a 100gr. bullet. Cant remember speed, didnt' bother checking because it was a Ruger compact (16 or 16.5" barrel). H4831 works well too.

R-17

I know that RODE, a buddy of mine here on Cgn has worked a load for his 243 after running a moderate, but very accurate Varget load for years. Pm him he will provide you details or maybe he'll chime in. I know initial results are phenomenal. Much greater velocity with great accuracy and R-17 is also supposed to be much more temperature sensitive than some of the other reloaded products. Especially 22 I understand.

Have one, but it doesn't list Alliant products. Canadian Gunnutz is the forum I prefer over google-that's my preference, maybe counter to yours. Why even reply as there was no intention of offering anything of value, was there?

No 95 gr listed. Google is simple to operate-

Take a look under the 100gr bullet loads. I see a load listed with win cases fed 210 primers 40.8 gr of Reloader 17 under a 100gr btsp for 3044fps. As always start lower and work up. This should get you started.
